Europe`s leading women`s volleyball clubs are eagerly anticipating the draw for the upcoming CEV Champions League season, the continent`s premier club competition.
For the women`s tournament, CEV has confirmed that 20 teams will compete in the fourth round. Fifteen of these teams have already secured their berths, with the remaining five spots to be determined by the winners of the third round, following double-header matches in September.
The draw is set for Tuesday, July 15, at 12:00 CEST in Luxembourg. This event will shape the pool compositions as the continent`s top clubs gear up for another thrilling campaign, all vying for Europe`s most coveted club title.

Italy stands out with a formidable contingent of four teams in the main draw. A. Carraro Prosecco DOC Conegliano, perennial favorites and reigning champions for the past two seasons, are back, joined by Savino Del Bene Scandicci, Numia Vero Volley Milano, and Igor Gorgonzola Novara. These clubs have a consistent track record of reaching the later stages of the competition, with both Conegliano and Novara having claimed the trophy in recent years.
Türkiye also emerges as a dominant force, fielding four top-tier teams: Eczacibasi Istanbul, VakifBank Istanbul, Fenerbahçe Medicana Istanbul, and Ankara Zeren Spor Kulübü. While the three Istanbul-based teams are perennial contenders, Ankara Zeren Spor Kulübü will aim to represent the nation with determination.
The lineup also includes three Polish teams – ŁKS Commercecon Łódź, Grot Budowlani Łódź, and Developres Rzeszów – alongside two German representatives: Dresdner SC and SSC Palmberg Schwerin. Serbia (OK Železničar Lajkovac), France (Levallois Paris Saint Cloud), and Romania (CS Volei Alba Blaj) will each field one team.
Four additional spots remain open, with the complete roster for the season to be finalized after the conclusion of the third round, as the four winners from the preliminary double-header matches advance to the fourth round.
This season, two wildcards have been awarded to Ankara Zeren Spor Kulübü and Igor Gorgonzola Novara.
The two wildcards for the women`s competition were granted following the CEV Board of Administration`s decision to ensure highly competitive matches and enhance the marketability of the CEV Champions League Volley throughout Europe and beyond. Consequently, the market potential of both the applicant clubs and their respective home countries played a crucial role in arriving at this well-informed decision.
