Armenia is set to host the historic #EuroVolleyU16M Final Round in just over a week. To mark this significant occasion, an introductory event took place on Northern Avenue, gathering key figures including Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Hasmik Avagyan, Volleyball Federation of Armenia Secretary General Karen Asmaryan, members of the Armenian U16 national team, coaches, and enthusiastic sports fans.

An event was held in Yerevan downtown to celebrate the upcoming #EuroVolleyU16M Final Round.
Hasmik Avagyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, extended a warm welcome and congratulated attendees on the upcoming championship. She highlighted the recent progress and increased visibility of the federation`s initiatives and the team`s dedicated efforts.
Avagyan concluded by wishing the home team great success. She further underscored Armenia`s national policy of hosting international sporting events, believing it significantly enhances the nation`s profile on the global sports stage.

Members of the U16 national team joined the action as well.
Karen Asmaryan, Secretary General of the Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA), also celebrated the organization of this unprecedented volleyball tournament in Armenia, noting that the VFA has diligently prepared for approximately three years. Asmaryan extended gratitude to the coaches for their crucial role in the team`s achievements and thanked the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, along with the Yerevan Municipality, for their steadfast support. He voiced optimism that the Armenian team would soon achieve significant success and encouraged a strong turnout of fans to passionately support the U16 national team during the championship matches.

VFA Secretary General Karen Asmaryan was among the speakers at the event organised in the city centre of the Armenian capital.
The #EuroVolleyU16M Final Round is scheduled from July 23 to August 3, featuring Armenia and 15 other national teams. Armenia, as the host, will compete in Pool I against Austria, Greece, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, and Spain. Pool II includes Bulgaria, Czechia, France, Hungary, Italy, Serbia, Türkiye, and Ukraine. A total of 60 matches will take place across two venues in the capital: the Gazprom Armenia Sports Complex and the Russian-Armenian University gymnasium.
