The Azerbaijan National Beach Volleyball Championship, organized by the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation (AVF), has successfully concluded. The final matches, held this week at the renowned Baku Aquatics Palace, showcased the high skill level of all participants. The Azerrail-1 clubs delivered outstanding performances, securing victories in both the women`s and men`s competitions.

The women`s final was an internal derby: the Azerrail-1 team (Larisa Smeltsova/Chinara Guliyeva) competed against Azerrail-2 (Vera Klimovich/Ilhama Azimova), creating a unique atmosphere of friendly rivalry. In the decisive men`s match, Azerrail-1 faced Khilasedichi-2. Tension was palpable, but the spirit of sportsmanship prevailed, and ultimately, Azerrail-1 (Konstantin Semenov and Heydar Mammadli) claimed the championship title and gold medals for their dedication and hard work.
Following the matches, a formal awards ceremony took place to celebrate all participants. Winners and runners-up received diplomas, medals, and valuable gifts from the VMF watch factory, a respected partner of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation. AVF President Shahin Baghirov, Secretary General Faig Orujov, Board Member Elgar Bagirov, Honored Master of Sports and European Rhythmic Gymnastics Champion Aliya Pashayeva, and VMF Watch Factory Director Orkhan Mammadov were present to award the prizes. Their attendance underscored the importance of recognizing the athletes` achievements.

The victorious teams have now earned the right to represent Azerbaijan in the CEV Beach Volley European Cup 2025. Last year, both the men`s and women`s Azerrail teams already performed successfully, winning this tournament in Montpellier, France.
This year`s championship featured 12 women`s and 11 men`s teams, with action commencing on July 21. The tournament was conducted in accordance with the regulations of the European Volleyball Confederation, ensuring fair play. Each club was required to enter at least two teams with players over 18 years of age; the rules were strict – a team that lost twice was eliminated. Reflecting on the competition`s climax, it is clear that every player, coach, and supporter contributed to making it a truly memorable event.
