All Blacks head coach Scott Robertson has confirmed that fly-half Beauden Barrett has suffered another fracture to the same hand he previously injured during Super Rugby.
The injury occurred during the third test match against France in Hamilton. Scans subsequently revealed a re-fracture. Robertson initially withheld specific details, jesting that “everything would be revealed in the press release.”
Scott Robertson stated: “I can`t give an exact recovery timeline yet, but it will be a matter of several weeks for healing. It`s the same hand, the same fracture.”
Barrett previously missed a month of play due to a similar injury sustained in a match between the Blues and the Brumbies in March. His participation in the upcoming Rugby Championship is now uncertain following this recent setback.
