The Netherlands, fielding four Olympians in their lineup, showcased an exceptionally strong performance on the opening day of the 2025 CEV Beach Volley Nations Cup Finals in Espinho. The Dutch men`s team achieved a flawless record, securing four impressive victories on Thursday.

Joining the Dutch in their undefeated start at Praia da Baía were the teams from Norway, who also triumphed in their first two matches of the event. Pool play will wrap up on Friday in Portugal, paving the way for the thrilling elimination rounds over the weekend. The quarterfinals are set for Saturday, with the semifinals and the highly anticipated gold medal match scheduled for Sunday.
Introduced to the European beach volleyball calendar in 2022, the Beach Nations Cup is an innovative “country versus country” competition, drawing parallels to the format of tennis`s prestigious Davis Cup.
