Teams from the Netherlands demonstrated their strength and dominated the recent Beach Volleyball event organized by the Western European Volleyball Zonal Association (WEVZA). The competition took place in Rimini, a popular coastal resort on Italy’s Adriatic coast.

In the gold medal match, Leanne van Vegten and Jill de Groot of the Netherlands defeated their fellow Dutch team, Marly Bak and Bjorna Gras, in straight sets 2-0 (21-14, 21-16).
The bronze medal was claimed by the Italian pair Anna Piccoli and Martina Foresti. They secured their third-place finish after a hard-fought match against their compatriots Luna Cicola and Andrea Maria Nucete, winning 2-1 with intense set scores of 21-14, 23-21, 18-16 in an all-Italian bronze medal showdown.
The WEVZA zonal event was successfully organized by PowerBeach and B-Side Management. The event received patronage from the Municipality of Rimini and was supported by main sponsors including VAR GROUP, IMA, Subaru, and Macron.
Valeria Tallevi Diotallevi and Giada Godenzoni were the strongest performing team representing the hosts, PowerBeach. Their run in the competition ended in fifth place after being defeated in the quarterfinal by Cicola and Nucete with a score of 1-2 (21-13, 15-21, 16-18).
