Former Spotify Executive Jeremy Erlich Invests in Biarritz Rugby Club
Jeremy Erlich, renowned for his past leadership at Spotify, has acquired a significant stake in the French rugby club Biarritz Olympique.
In recent years, Biarritz has been grappling with severe financial difficulties, which nearly resulted in its relegation to the third division. Erlich`s investment company, SAB Rugby LLC, is now committed to stabilizing the financial standing of the “Basques.”
“Biarritz Olympique is much more than just a club; it’s an organization steeped in history and passion. Our mission is to provide it with the necessary resources to fulfill its ambitions and ascend to the pinnacle of rugby. We deeply believe in the potential of this endeavor and in the strength of the Basque Country,” stated the former Spotify executive.
Following six rounds of the current season, Biarritz currently holds 14th place out of 16 in the Pro D2 championship.
