Emanuele Monduzzi, the veteran Italian beach volleyball player, is set to conclude his illustrious international career, which has spanned nearly three decades. His swansong will take place later this week at a men’s-only Futures event in Warsaw, Poland, where he will compete alongside Oleksandr ‘Sasha’ Siedykh. Their campaign will commence in the qualification tournament, marking Monduzzi`s final competitive appearance on the international stage at almost 55 years of age.

Monduzzi`s remarkable journey in international beach volleyball began back in 1996 with his debut in Durban, South Africa. Born in 1970, he has consistently competed, achieving notable results throughout his career. Among his best finishes are a fifth-place at a FIVB Satellite event in Beirut, Lebanon, in 2001, and a ninth-place at another FIVB Satellite in Pfaffikon, Switzerland, in the same year.
“Dedicated to the sport for a lifetime, Emanuele Monduzzi is an inspiration for all aspiring beach volleyball players.”
Beyond his playing achievements, Monduzzi currently serves as the President of PowerBeach, a thriving club located on the Adriatic coast. With a membership exceeding 2,000, PowerBeach is a significant entity in the sport, actively involved in organizing international training camps and major events, further cementing Monduzzi`s legacy within the beach volleyball community.
