The city of Ploiești recently hosted the annual seminar for Romanian volleyball referees and supervisors. The event brought together 155 referees and 27 supervisors, and was also attended by Mr. Adin Marian Cojocaru, President of the Romanian Volleyball Federation.

Arturo Di Giacomo, President of the European Refereeing Commission (ERC), joined the seminar remotely for an online session on Saturday morning. During his presentation, Mr. Di Giacomo underscored the significance of fluid refereeing in enhancing the dynamism and appeal of modern volleyball. He also emphasized the vital role of Referee Coaches in fostering the professional development of referees.

Throughout the seminar, participants were briefed on and instructed in the latest rule amendments, which are set to be implemented across all domestic Romanian competitions, ensuring full adherence to the current CEV and FIVB guidelines.
Concluding the event, Mr. Cojocaru extended his gratitude to the ERC President for his valuable contribution and wished all Romanian referees and supervisors a highly successful upcoming season.
