European beach volleyball teams achieved significant success at the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Elite event in Montréal, securing four medals as the tournament concluded on Sunday.

The continent demonstrated exceptional prowess in Canada, dominating the men`s competition with a clean sweep of the medals and reaching the women`s gold medal match.
Fresh off their record fifth CEV EuroBeachVolley title, Norwegian sensations Anders Mol and Christian Sørum continued their winning streak internationally. They defeated Sweden`s emerging talents Jacob Hölting Nilsson and Elmer Andersson in straight sets (21-19, 21-13) to clinch their second consecutive Montréal title, having also won in 2023.
This victory in Montréal underlines our consistent performance and dedication. We`re thrilled to defend our title here.

In an all-European men`s bronze medal match featuring current world and Olympic champions, Czech Republic`s Ondřej Perušič and David Schweiner ultimately prevailed over Sweden`s David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig in a thrilling tie-breaker (14-21, 22-20, 20-18) to secure third place.
European hopes for women`s gold rested with the 2024 European champions, Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann of Germany. However, they were defeated in the final by Canadian Paris Olympic silver medalists Brandie Wilkerson and Melissa Humana-Paredes, who secured the title with a 2-0 victory (21-15, 22-20).

Latvian Olympians and two-time European champions Tina Graudina and Anastasija Samoilova competed for bronze but ultimately fell to Brazilian Olympic champions Eduarda ‘Duda’ Lisboa and Ana Patrícia Ramos in straight sets (21-14, 21-16), finishing fourth.
The Beach Pro Tour`s next Elite event is scheduled for August 27-31 in Hamburg, Germany, where the world`s top teams will once again compete on European soil.
