The continent demonstrated its prowess, emerging as the most successful region in the Canadian tournament. European duos achieved a complete sweep of the men`s podium, showcasing their depth of talent, and also contested the women`s gold medal match, highlighting their broad competitive reach.

Fresh off their historic fifth CEV EuroBeachVolley title, Norwegian sensations Anders Mol and Christian Sørum continued their dominant run on the international stage. They successfully defended their Montréal title (first won in 2023) by defeating promising Swedish duo Jacob Hölting Nilsson and Elmer Andersson in straight sets (21-19, 21-13), proving their consistent excellence.

The men`s bronze medal match was an all-European affair, pitting the reigning World Champions, Ondřej Perušič and David Schweiner of Czechia, against the Olympic champions, David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig from Sweden. In a thrilling tie-breaker, the Czech pair ultimately prevailed (14-21, 22-20, 20-18), clinching the final podium spot in a hotly contested match.

In the women`s tournament, European hopes for gold rested on the 2024 European champions, Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann of Germany. However, they faced a formidable challenge from the Canadian home favorites, Paris Olympic silver medalists Brandie Wilkerson and Melissa Humana-Paredes, who secured the title with a decisive 2-0 victory (21-15, 22-20).

Latvian Olympians and two-time European champions Tina Graudina and Anastasija Samoilova also competed for a bronze medal. Despite their valiant efforts, they were overcome by the formidable Brazilian Olympic champions Eduarda ‘Duda’ Lisboa and Ana Patrícia Ramos, losing in straight sets (21-14, 21-16) and finishing in a respectable fourth place.

The Beach Pro Tour Elite series will return to Europe for its next stop, as Hamburg, Germany, prepares to host the world`s premier beach volleyball teams from August 27-31. This promises to be another thrilling event showcasing top-tier talent.
