Germany, a dominant force in European beach volleyball, secured yet another title in the women`s category by winning the fourth CEV Beach Volley Nations Cup Finals, which concluded on Sunday in Espinho.

With nine EuroBeachVolley titles and the distinction of being the only European nation to achieve an Olympic gold in women`s beach volleyball, Germany reaffirmed its continental supremacy with this triumph at Praia da Baía.
Remaining unbeaten throughout the week-long event in Portugal, the German teams faced strong opposition from promising Ukrainian pairs in the final series. However, Germany ultimately claimed victory by winning both crucial duels in Espinho.
The opening match of the final was intensely contested, with Germany`s new pairing of Sandra Ittlinger and Anna-Lena Grüne narrowly defeating Valentyna Davidova and Anhelina Khmil in a tie-breaker (18-21, 21-14, 15-13), giving Germany an initial lead.

An hour later, the current EuroBeachVolley champions, Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann, solidified their standing as Europe`s premier team by securing a dominant straight-sets victory (21-18, 21-8) over Maryna Hladun and Tetiana Lazarenko, sparking German celebrations in Portugal.
This victory in Espinho also granted Germany an additional qualification spot for the upcoming 2025 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championship, scheduled to take place in Australia from November 14-23, via the continental qualification pathway.
First introduced to the European beach volleyball calendar in 2022, the Beach Nations Cup is an engaging `country versus country` team competition, drawing parallels to tennis`s Davis Cup.
