Gloucester Rugby hooker Jack Singleton has been forced to suspend his playing career indefinitely after suffering a heart attack in September. The 29-year-old is now facing a prolonged period of rehabilitation away from the pitch.
The Cherry & Whites, Gloucester`s nickname, officially confirmed the news, stating that their key forward would be sidelined for a “long period” as he recovers. The club emphasized that Singleton would receive comprehensive support from their dedicated medical staff throughout his recovery journey.
Remarkably, just a month prior to this serious health incident, Singleton had been an active part of the team. He was in the starting lineup for George Skivington`s squad during a Premiership Rugby Cup match against Exeter, underscoring the sudden and unexpected nature of his health setback.
A seasoned professional in the rugby world, Jack Singleton`s career began at Worcester. He later gained experience playing for Saracens and spent the 2023/2024 season on loan with Toulon in France.
