The Armenian Snow Volleyball National Championship took place from February 14 to 16, 2025, at the picturesque Mayler Mountain Resort in Aparan. Expertly organized by the Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA) with significant backing from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the event brought together 10 men`s and seven women`s teams, all vying for the esteemed national title.

This championship marked a significant debut for the Mayler Mountain Resort as a host venue. Both the VFA and the resort management invested considerable effort to ensure flawless execution, preparing two state-of-the-art playing courts specifically for the competition. Teams commenced their campaigns by competing in initial subgroups, which then paved the way for the high-stakes semi-final and medal matches.
Men`s Competition: A Fierce Battle for Supremacy
The men`s tournament was characterized by intense rivalry, with as many as six participating teams possessing nearly equal chances to claim the coveted championship trophy.
Despite their youth, the Nor-Nork team showcased promising talent by securing two impressive victories in their pool. However, they were eventually overcome by more seasoned teams and eliminated from the running. Local observers highlighted their strong potential, predicting that Nor-Nork would gain invaluable experience and undoubtedly challenge for top honors in upcoming seasons.
The bronze medal match featured a compelling clash between two teams representing FIMA, where FIMA-1 ultimately proved stronger, securing third place. The men`s final was widely regarded as the most thrilling and tightly contested match of the entire championship, culminating in a hard-fought and well-deserved victory for the team from Gyumri over their formidable opponents from Yerevan.

Women`s Tournament: Team Van Claims the Crown
The women’s championship was equally captivating, featuring a series of exciting and skillfully played matches. Teams Van, Perfect Smile, BSU, and KHMOMM all successfully navigated their way to the semi-finals. Remarkably, both semi-final encounters concluded with identical 2-1 scores, a testament to the high level of competition. In the end, Team Van and BSU emerged victorious from their respective semi-final clashes, securing their spots in the grand final.
In the battle for the bronze medals, KHMOMM demonstrated superior performance against Perfect Smile. The ultimate final match saw the talented girls of Team Van establish an early and decisive lead, which they masterfully maintained throughout the game to be rightfully crowned the 2025 national champions.
The top three teams were proudly presented with their well-earned medals and trophies by members of the VFA Managing Board, alongside Mr. Arshavir Hakobyan, the esteemed Operations Director of the Mayler Mountain Resort.
