The freshly unveiled inland beach facility at the Sport Ireland Campus was abuzz with vibrant energy and excitement as Ireland proudly hosted the Small Countries Association (SCA) U19 Beach Volleyball Championships from August 1st to 2nd, 2025.

Young athletes representing six SCA member associations — Andorra, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Scotland — gathered for one of the year`s most eagerly anticipated youth Beach Volleyball events. The two-day tournament magnificently showcased the pinnacle of under-19 talent, captivating spectators with high-calibre competition, a lively atmosphere, and promising displays from the sport’s burgeoning stars.
Organized by Volleyball Ireland, this event marks another substantial stride forward in the development of Beach Volleyball within the country and across the broader region. With crucial support from the CEV, SCA, and Sport Ireland, the championship effectively highlighted the escalating popularity and growing competitiveness of Beach Volleyball among young athletes in Ireland and the SCA region.

The championship featured both men’s and women’s competitions, with exciting matchups across the draw. The standout performances throughout the weekend were a double gold for Iceland, winning both the men’s and women’s titles. In the women’s competition, Iceland had a bronze medal duo coming third behind Ireland who secured their first ever silver medal. On the men’s side, Scotland completed the podium with silver and bronze.
