The final day of the CEV Coaches Convention, held from September 26-28 in Zadar, Croatia, was highlighted by a series of interactive and motivating workshops. These sessions brought together coaches and specialists with a shared goal: to collaboratively explore innovative strategies for promoting volleyball in all its diverse forms. Discussions spanned classical indoor volleyball, beach volleyball, sitting volleyball, parabeach volleyball, and strategies for boosting youth and adult participation.
The core focus of these workshops revolved around two primary objectives:
- 1. Sharing Best Practices: Each working group was tasked with presenting three of the most successful “Grow the Game” programs or initiatives implemented by their national federations. Participants were encouraged to explain the specific reasons behind the effectiveness and impact of these initiatives.
- 2. Planning Future Opportunities: A challenging exercise required participants to conceptualize a new program they would implement if awarded a grant from the CEV. This involved detailing how such a program could effectively expand the reach and inclusivity of volleyball across various communities.
The structured format of the events actively fostered collaboration among attendees. Three invited experts provided guidance and support to the working groups. Each group benefited from having a dedicated speaker who not only helped to organize the discussions but also later presented their group`s conclusions and proposals to the entire audience.
The convention successfully facilitated a dynamic exchange of knowledge, practical solutions, and forward-thinking ideas. This vibrant interaction underscored the Convention`s fundamental mission: to inspire, empower, and thoroughly equip coaches throughout Europe to foster the growth of volleyball at every competitive level and in every conceivable setting.
