The CEV Coaches Convention, held from September 26-28 in Zadar, Croatia, concluded with a dynamic series of workshops. These sessions successfully brought together coaches and experts, fostering collaborative discussions on innovative strategies for “Growing the Game” across all volleyball disciplines. This included indoor, beach, and sitting volleyball, as well as parabeach, youth, and adult participation initiatives.
The workshops were structured around two main objectives:
- Sharing Best Practices: Each participating group was tasked with identifying and presenting three highly effective “Grow the Game” programs or concepts from their respective national federations. They elaborated on the reasons behind the success and impact of these initiatives.
- Envisioning Future Opportunities: Attendees were challenged to conceptualize and design a new program they would implement if awarded a grant by the CEV. This involved outlining how such a program could significantly broaden volleyball`s reach and promote greater inclusivity within the sport.
The format of the event actively promoted cooperation and knowledge exchange. Three distinguished speakers were invited to guide and support the groups, with each speaker dedicated to facilitating one group`s discussions. They played a crucial role in structuring the conversations and subsequently presenting their group`s conclusions to the entire audience.
The Convention culminated in a vibrant exchange of insights, practical solutions, and forward-looking ideas. This robust dialogue strongly reinforced the Convention`s fundamental mission: to inspire, empower, and equip volleyball coaches throughout Europe, enabling them to drive the sport`s growth at every level and in diverse environments.
