From July 23 to August 3, 2025, Armenia proudly hosted the #EuroVolleyU16M championship. Sixteen national teams converged on Yerevan, delivering an unforgettable tournament brimming with passion, talent, and true sportsmanship.
The initial phases of the competition took place across two distinct venues: the Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University and the state-of-the-art Gazprom Sports and Education Complex. Both arenas buzzed with vibrant energy, fueled by the enthusiastic and vocal support of countless fans. As the tournament progressed, all matches from the semi-finals onward were exclusively held at Gazprom, ensuring premium conditions for the successful culmination of the event.
The championship captivated significant public interest, drawing widespread attention. Local media provided extensive coverage of the games, and day by day, the spectator count swelled. The audience diversified from dedicated volleyball aficionados to entire families and even curious first-time visitors, eager to witness the spectacle. The tournament quickly became a prominent topic of conversation throughout the city and beyond, as the palpable excitement and competitive energy proved truly infectious.
The bronze medal match, a spirited contest between France and Poland, was dynamic and intense, keeping the crowd on the very edge of their seats. The grand final, a highly anticipated clash between Italy and Spain, evolved into a deeply emotional and thrilling showdown. It was replete with breathtaking rallies and memorable moments, culminating in a well-deserved victory for the `Azzurrini`. The arena resonated with thunderous cheers and vibrant support from the spectators, crafting an atmosphere truly befitting a European final.
