Rugby legend Jason Robinson has voiced his profound disappointment regarding the current state of the England rugby team, particularly their performance in the Six Nations tournament. Robinson candidly stated that he would be “furious” if he were a part of the current squad, asserting he would disregard the existing game plan in favour of playing his own intuitive style. He characterized the ongoing Six Nations campaign as “disastrous” and believes the team is regressing, moving backwards instead of progressing.
Robinson urged his former teammate and current England head coach, Steve Borthwick, to pivot towards a more attacking strategy in an effort to revitalize his coaching tenure and steer the team back towards success. He believes a fundamental shift in approach is necessary to resurrect the team’s fortunes.
