Jason Taumalolo, a Tongan player representing the `Krasny Yar` team, confidently secured first place in the list of top scorers for the PARI Russian Championship, significantly outperforming his rivals.
By the end of the recently concluded season, Taumalolo amassed an impressive 180 points. The trust placed in him by `Krasny Yar“s coaching staff allowed him to consistently score throughout the season, with 24 successful penalties and 54 conversions to his name. In second place was `Strela-Ak Bars“ fly-half, Kobus Marais, who tallied 138 points, including 15 penalties, 45 conversions, and one drop goal. Eduard Fouche from `Dynamo`, who joined the team mid-season, finished in third position with 115 points (one try, 37 conversions, 12 penalties).
Notably, in the previous season, Taumalolo achieved an even higher score of 185 points. However, at that time, it was only sufficient for third place in the scoring race, falling behind Earl Dourie and Kobus Marais.
