Volleyball Ireland is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Barker as its new Chief Executive Officer, following a thorough and competitive selection process.
Barker joins Volleyball Ireland with an impressive background in commercial and leadership development. Most recently, he served as Deputy CEO and Commercial Director at Sunshine 106.8 radio station, where he actively contributed to revenue growth, established long-term partnerships, and led the team in transforming their commercial operations.
With extensive experience in building dynamic and sustainable relationships across the sports and media sectors, Barker brings a strategic vision that perfectly aligns with Volleyball Ireland`s objectives. His arrival coincides with a significant period for the organization, which continues to build on recent successes and effectively implement its `Feel The Buzz` strategic plan.

Barker will officially commence his role in early November, taking the helm during the first half of Volleyball Ireland`s largest-ever indoor league season, which shows a 20% increase in the number of competing teams nationwide.
