The legendary fly-half has accepted a new position within the structure of his beloved former club, Newcastle Falcons.
Wilkinson has been appointed as a consultant to the team`s directors. This advisory role is not entirely new territory for Jonathan, as he currently serves as a consultant to the Rugby Football Union. His involvement with Newcastle is set to be on a limited basis, but it will require his regular presence at the club’s training facilities.
Jonny spent the vast majority of his illustrious playing career at Newcastle, representing the club from 1997 to 2009, making this return a significant moment for the Falcons faithful.
