At just 18 years old, Julia Ituma, born on October 8, 2004, has already amassed an impressive list of accolades, including a gold medal from a European Championship and an MVP award. This Italian opposite hitter steered her team to victory during the #EuroVolleyU19W in the summer, where her exceptional performance earned her the Most Valuable Player title. Ituma showcased her talent across eight matches and 27 sets, accumulating a remarkable 116 points, averaging 4.3 points per set. In the thrilling 3-2 Grand Final against Serbia, she contributed 21 points with 43% efficiency. Now, Julia is eager to make her mark in the Italian League, playing for Igor Gorgonzola Novara. The Journey Begins
Whether by fate or coincidence, volleyball entered Julia`s life unexpectedly. Gifted with an impressive height of 191cm, she transitioned to volleyball in the sixth grade after an initial foray into basketball.
Embracing Professionalism
Upon joining Club Italia, Ituma quickly realized her potential to pursue a career as a professional volleyball player.
I observed all the top players there, doing something I loved, and in which, according to those with more expertise than me, I could excel. So, I decided to fully commit myself, and I believe we will see how it unfolds.

National Team Triumphs
The summer of 2022 marked a period of significant success for Julia and her national teammates. They first secured victory at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Slovakia, swiftly moving on to achieve their next major objective: the #EuroVolleyU19W trophy.

Life at the Club
Ituma is currently honing her skills at one of Italy`s most esteemed clubs, Igor Volley Novara. She is dedicated to leveraging every opportunity for learning and on-court improvement.
Here in Novara, I am once again in a position where I have so much to learn and to prove. They have placed immense trust in me, and now it`s my turn to demonstrate that it`s warranted. One of my primary objectives is personal growth – always keeping my eyes and ears open for new opportunities to learn and refine myself. I want to express my gratitude to the staff, as I am confident they have a great deal to offer. I am also learning extensively from the players, both from my own team and from others; I am discovering, and will undoubtedly continue to discover, many new insights for the game.
