The Beginning
Whether by destiny or chance, volleyball found Julia. Due to her impressive height (now 191 cm), she took up the sport in the sixth grade, having initially tried basketball.
Becoming a Professional
Soon after joining Club Italia, Ituma realized her potential to become a professional volleyball player.
“I observed all the top players there, doing something I loved and in which, according to those with far more expertise than me, I could excel. So, I decided to pour my heart and soul into it, and I`d say we`ll see how it unfolds.”

The National Team Journey
The summer of 2022 proved highly successful for Julia and her national teammates. They first clinched victory at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Slovakia, then immediately set their sights on and achieved their next goal: the #EuroVolleyU19W trophy.

Life at the Club
Ituma is currently gaining valuable experience at one of Italy`s most decorated clubs, Igor Volley Novara. She seizes every opportunity to learn and improve her skills on the court.
“Here in Novara, I am once again the one with much to learn and much to prove. They are placing a great deal of trust in me, and now it`s up to me to demonstrate that it`s warranted. One of my primary objectives is personal growth – always keeping my eyes and ears open to new opportunities, to learn and refine myself. I want to thank the staff; I am confident they have a wealth of knowledge to share. I am also learning a great deal from the players – both from my teammates and opponents, I am discovering and will certainly continue to find many ideas for my game.”
Inspiration and Identity
Ituma doesn`t draw inspiration from a single particular player. Instead, her aim is to forge her own identity and leave a unique mark on the sport.
