С 15 по 16 октября в Риге успешно прошли курсы для молодежных тренеров по волейболу «Action Volley». Их провел известный голландский специалист Ремко Кентер, познакомивший участников с концепциями «Action Volley» и «Smashball».

From October 15th to 16th, Riga successfully hosted the “Action Volley” Youth Volleyball Coaching Courses. Renowned Dutch expert Remko Kenter led the sessions, introducing participants to the innovative “Action Volley” and “Smashball” concepts.
Среди 70 участников были тренеры из спортивных школ, а также учителя физкультуры из общеобразовательных учреждений. На курсах также присутствовали международные специалисты, включая главного тренера женской сборной Латвии Даниэле Марио Каприотти и тренера из Молдовы Фиодора Маярова.
Первый день был посвящен принципам «Action Volley» в закрытых помещениях, а второй день сосредоточился на концепции «Smashball». Участники также глубоко рассмотрели роль тренера, обсуждая, как он работает, наблюдает и взаимодействует с детьми. Каждый день начинался с теоретических занятий, за которыми следовали практические сессии во второй половине дня, где тренеры работали с молодыми волонтерами из Рижской школы волейбола и Школы волейбола Ингуны Минусы. Завершились курсы теоретическим экзаменом.

The 70 participants included both sports school coaches and physical education teachers from general education schools. International specialists, such as Daniele Mario Capriotti, head coach of the Latvian women`s national team, and Fiodor Majarov, a coach from Moldova, also attended the courses.
The first day concentrated on the indoor principles of “Action Volley,” while the second day was dedicated to understanding the “Smashball” concept. Participants also thoroughly explored the coach`s role, discussing how coaches operate, observe, and interact with children. Each day commenced with theoretical sessions, followed by practical applications in the afternoon, where participants worked with young volunteer players from Riga Volleyball School and Inguna Minusa’s Volleyball School. The courses concluded with a theoretical examination.
«Возможно, «Action Volley» и «Smashball» воспринимаются как нечто «нестандартное». Действительно, они представляют собой иное видение, но и дети изменились», — отметил Кентер. «Я надеюсь, что участники запомнят «Action Volley» как волейбол глазами детей, и что мы должны активнее использовать сетку. Также я надеюсь, что они запомнят «Smashball» как доступную и инклюзивную игру, которая позволяет детям легко участвовать. Таким образом, мы сможем привлечь и вовлечь больше детей в волейбол», — продолжил он.
«Участники, с которыми я общался, были в восторге от новых идей. Некоторые из них были по-настоящему новаторскими. Участникам не обязательно принимать все полностью, но они, безусловно, могут взять элементы из обсуждавшихся методов. Детям было весело и интересно. Была радость — а это важно, потому что дети, которым весело, учатся лучше. По моему мнению, крайне важно слушать детей и сопереживать их миру. Связь с ними — ключ к успеху», — подчеркнул Кентер.

“It might seem that `Action Volley` and `Smashball` are `out of the box.` It`s true that they offer a different perspective, but children have also evolved,” Kenter remarked. “I hope participants will remember `Action Volley` as volleyball through the eyes of children, and recognize the importance of making more use of the net. I also hope they will perceive `Smashball` as an accessible and inclusive game that allows children to easily participate. This approach enables us to attract and engage more children in volleyball,” he added.
“The participants I spoke with were enthusiastic about the fresh insights. Some ideas were truly groundbreaking. While participants don`t need to adopt everything wholesale, they can certainly incorporate elements from the methods we discussed. The children found it enjoyable and stimulating. There was a sense of joy – and that`s crucial, because children who are having fun learn more effectively. In my view, it is essential to listen to children and empathize with their world. The connection with them is the cornerstone of success,” Kenter emphasized.
«Когда мы смотрим на волейбол, важно использовать сетку и просто дать детям играть. Мы никогда не должны забывать, что дети — настоящие владельцы этого вида спорта. Создавайте с ними прекрасные воспоминания, чтобы, когда они вырастут, они вспоминали время, проведенное с вами как с тренером, как положительный и ценный опыт».
Участники получили сертификат о прохождении курсов, выданный CEV. Курсы, проводившиеся на английском языке, были организованы в сотрудничестве с CEV в рамках школьного проекта «Играй в волейбол – расти с ним».

“When considering volleyball, it`s crucial to utilize the net and simply allow children to play the game. We must never forget that children are the true proprietors of this sport. Create wonderful memories with them, so that as they mature, they will recall their time with you as a coach as a positive and invaluable experience.”
Participants were awarded a certificate of attendance issued by the CEV. The courses, conducted in English, were organized in collaboration with the CEV as part of the `Play Volleyball – Grow with it` School Project.
