They secured a 3-1 victory (25-21, 25-21, 23-25, 25-19) against Denmark, also playing an additional closed-door match. Their successful run continued in Tallinn, where they officially defeated Estonia 3-2 (22-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-27, 15-13), followed by another 3-1 win (23-25, 25-19, 25-22, 26-24) in a behind-closed-doors game, with Estonia claiming an extra set 25-19.

The coaching staff supporting head coach Daniele Mario Capriotti includes coaches Inguna Minusa and Arvils Keišs, analysts/statisticians Mareks Maksimovs and Vladimirs Visockis, strength and conditioning coach Roni Antero Rekola, physiotherapist Luisa Dombrovska, and team manager Kristaps Čerņavskis.

These upcoming matches mark the second phase of the CEV EuroVolley 2026 qualifiers, building on the games played in the summer of 2024. Last year, Latvia achieved a 3-2 victory over Montenegro and was awarded a 3-0 walkover win against Bosnia and Herzegovina, who forfeited their home match. The CEV EuroVolley 2026 championship, which will feature 24 national teams, is scheduled to be co-hosted by Türkiye, Czechia, Azerbaijan, and Sweden.
