Lithuanian athletes achieved remarkable success at the women-only Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Futures event in Warsaw this weekend, securing both gold and silver medals. The tournament, held in the Polish capital, showcased a formidable display of skill and determination from the Lithuanian contingent.
Duos from Lithuania and Romania made it to the podium in the Polish capital.
The competition at Plaża Wilanów attracted teams from 17 different nations, all vying for top honors. However, it was Lithuanian pairs who ultimately claimed both coveted spots in the final, demonstrating their country`s profound strength in beach volleyball, with three Lithuanian teams participating in total.
Following a gripping three-set battle, the qualifying duo of Ariana Rudkovskaja and Skalve Krizanauskaite culminated their impressive Warsaw journey by defeating fellow Lithuanians Ieva Vasiliauskaite and Erika Kliokmanaite. They secured the gold medal with a score of 2-1 (15-21, 26-24, 15-10), marking an outstanding achievement against their compatriots.
The fight for the bronze medal was equally intense, extending to a decisive tie-breaker. Romania`s Francesca Alupei and Beata Vaida ultimately prevailed over Hungary`s Stefánia Kun and Lilla Villám with scores of 15-21, 21-16, 15-11, thereby earning their well-deserved place on the podium.

The 2025 Beach Pro Tour Futures season in Europe still features two more exciting women`s tournaments. These events provide crucial platforms for teams to compete, hone their skills, and accumulate valuable international ranking points:
- Lille, France: September 18-21 (women`s tournament)
- Balikesir, Türkiye: September 25-28 (double-gender event)
