Promising 19-year-old defender Luka Vuskovic of Hamburg is reportedly attracting significant transfer interest from top Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Chelsea. Currently on loan from Tottenham, Vuskovic has been a standout performer for HSV this season, even as the club fights to maintain its Bundesliga status.
Despite his stated desire to play alongside his brother Mario, who is set to rejoin Hamburg after his doping ban, the likelihood of HSV retaining the young Croatian talent appears increasingly slim.
A crucial factor in Vuskovic’s future will be Tottenham’s decision on whether to integrate him into their first-team squad next season. However, Vuskovic is said to be displeased with the lack of trust shown by the North London club last summer when they opted to send him out on loan rather than offering him a chance.
Beyond the Premier League heavyweights, Vuskovic has also drawn known interest from Barcelona. Liverpool is reportedly considering him as a potential option should Ibrahima Konate leave the club upon his contract’s expiration, while Chelsea has also registered their interest in the highly-rated centre-back.
