BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA – While David Hancko was crowned the best Slovak player of the year, Napoli midfielder Stanislav Lobotka expressed his satisfaction at being among the top three. Attending the ceremony, Lobotka extended his heartfelt congratulations to his national teammate, the Atlético Madrid defender, for the prestigious recognition. “I’m delighted to be among the top three,” Lobotka stated. “Hancko had an extraordinary season, both for the national team and his club, and he truly deserved this award. Beyond being a great player, he’s also a fantastic person, so I’m genuinely happy for him.”

During the gala evening, the former Celta Vigo star also offered high praise for his Napoli coach, Antonio Conte, highlighting their strong understanding. “He is an extraordinary coach with a clear philosophy and a winning mentality,” Lobotka affirmed. “With him, I pushed my physical and mental limits further than I ever thought possible. I used to believe I couldn’t achieve certain things, but I’ve learned that a lot depends on your mindset. The training program is very intense, and you only have one body, so you must take care of it,” the 1994-born player explained. “I focus on getting good sleep, recovering effectively, and improving every day. The ultimate goal is always to give one percent more.”
