The Italian Snow Volleyball Championship concluded this past weekend in Plan de Corones, a venue with a strong history of hosting snow volleyball events. The final stage, organised by SSV Pallavolo Brunico and the Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV), marked the end of the national tour which began in February in Lorica, southern Italy.
In the women`s tournament, the young local squad consisting of Anja and Lea Burgmann, Sarah Riva, and Julia Mairhofer defeated the more seasoned team of Cristiana Parenzan, Federica Tonon, and Czech player Anna Dostalova. The home favourites displayed superior stamina and composure during the match to claim the title.
Similarly, in the men`s competition, the local heroes Theo Hanni, Peter Seeber, Michael Burgmann, and Thomas Berger proved dominant. They overcame Enrico Lupatelli, Michele Bennato, Gaetano Vespero, and Atef Adel in the final match, solidifying their position as Italy`s top team and securing SSV Volleyball Brunico`s third consecutive national title.
