The 2025 NEVZA Beach Sweden tournament is set to take place in less than a month, from October 31 to November 2. Organized by Göteborg BC, this event will be the season`s final stop on the North European Beach Volleyball Tour, hosted at the impressive Beach Center.
The medallists from the last edition of NEVZA Beach Sweden, held last year in Göteborg.
Thirty-two elite Northern European Beach Volleyball teams (16 women`s, 16 men`s) will compete for titles, ranking points, and prize money at this ultimate NEVZA event of the year, held inside the world`s largest indoor Beach Volleyball arena.
As is customary, NEVZA Beach Sweden coincides with the Halloween Cup weekend, an event that draws almost 400 players for recreational tournaments across the venue`s 16 indoor courts.
“We are looking forward to thrilling matches and great entertainment for the crowd. All athletes, officials, and spectators are warmly invited to Saturday night’s Halloween Party at the Beach Center.”
— Anneli Friborg, Tournament Director, Gothenburg Beach Volleyball Club (GBC)
Last year`s winners in Göteborg, Jacob Hölting Nilsson and Elmer Andersson, who have since risen to the top 10 at this year`s EuroBeachVolley in Düsseldorf.
Swedish teams have historically performed well on the NEVZA circuit, and last year`s Gothenburg event continued this trend with one gold and two silver medals. Local expectations are high for this year`s late October return of the North European Tour.
Friborg further emphasized the event`s importance: “As organizers, we are proud and delighted to provide high-level competition for Swedish athletes. It’s an invaluable opportunity to compete against international rivals on home soil, gaining experience and vital ranking points. For example, last year’s men’s champions, Jacob Hölting Nilsson and Elmer Andersson, are now among the world`s top-ranked players, just a year after their victory here.”
