The 2025 edition of NEVZA Beach Sweden is fast approaching, with less than a month remaining until its commencement. From October 31 to November 2, the esteemed Göteborg BC club will proudly host the season`s concluding tournament of the North European Beach Volleyball Tour at the magnificent Beach Center.

Medal winners from the last NEVZA Beach Sweden event, held previously in Göteborg.
A total of 32 premier beach volleyball pairs from Northern Europe, comprising 16 women`s and 16 men`s teams, are slated to compete. They will take to the sand within the expansive confines of the world’s largest indoor Beach Volleyball arena, all vying for championship honors, valuable ranking points, and significant prize money at this year’s final NEVZA competition.
In line with established tradition, NEVZA Beach Sweden will be held concurrently with the lively Halloween Cup weekend. This popular event draws nearly 400 recreational players for tournaments across the venue’s sixteen indoor courts, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
“We are eagerly anticipating thrilling matches and fantastic entertainment for all attendees. We extend a warm invitation to all athletes, officials, and spectators to join us for Saturday night’s Halloween Party at the Beach Center,” stated Anneli Friborg, Tournament Director for the Gothenburg Beach Volleyball Club (GBC).

Jacob Hölting Nilsson and Elmer Andersson, last year’s champions in Göteborg, impressively secured a top 10 position at this year’s EuroBeachVolley in Düsseldorf.
Swedish teams have historically achieved considerable success on the NEVZA circuit. Last year’s stop in Gothenburg was a prime example, where local players earned an impressive one gold and two silver medals. Consequently, expectations are soaring for home teams as the North European Tour makes its return in late October.
Friborg further elaborated, “As organizers, we feel both proud and privileged to facilitate high-caliber competition opportunities for Swedish athletes. This provides an invaluable chance for them to test their skills against international opponents on home soil, thereby gaining crucial experience and vital ranking points. A testament to this is last year’s men’s champions, Jacob Hölting Nilsson and Elmer Andersson; in just twelve months, they have ascended to compete among the elite in the world rankings.”
