Swiss Volley recently hosted a historic domestic beach volleyball event from June 21-22, which served as a qualifier for the preliminary phase of the CEV Beach Volley European Cup.
Held in Kloten and Bessersdorf, the tournament was notable for players competing on behalf of their clubs rather than individually. This innovative approach to beach volleyball was greatly appreciated by the participants.

Under ideal weather conditions, the teams performed exceptionally, leading to several exciting and dramatic matches. Everyone involved enjoyed the competition format and expressed their satisfaction with the overall experience.

Nidau Volley emerged as the winners of the men’s competition, while Beachvolley Academy Bern secured victory in the women’s event. Both clubs will now represent Switzerland in the preliminary phase of the CEV Beach Volley European Cup 2025, scheduled for this September. The specific venues and dates for the European Cup phase are yet to be confirmed.
