In early August, a significant qualifying event, the “Summer Open ’25 #2,” took place in Lithuania. This tournament was designed to determine which local club would earn the prestigious opportunity to represent the Baltic nation in the 2025 edition of the CEV Beach Volley European Cup.
The final stages of the competition featured three formidable contenders: Volley Lithuania, DAMJ Volley, and Klaipeda Beach Volleyball Club (KBC) – Oxyklinika. Ultimately, Volley Lithuania and KBC Oxyklinika advanced to the championship match. The team from Klaipeda, Oxyklinika, emerged triumphant, securing a decisive victory with two wins to none against their opponents. This win marks Oxyklinika`s second consecutive appearance in the CEV Beach Volley European Cup. In the previous year, they achieved a commendable fifth-place finish at the event held in Montpellier, France. Their roster is a testament to Lithuania`s talent in beach volleyball, featuring experienced players such as Ieva Dumbauskaite, Gerda Grudzinskaite, Ariana Rudkovskaja, Urte Andriukaityte, as well as Rugile Grudzinskaite and Skalve Krizanauskaite, all of whom possess extensive international competitive experience.
