The city of Ploiești recently convened the annual seminar dedicated to Romanian Volleyball referees and supervisors. This significant gathering brought together 155 referees and 27 supervisors, underscoring the commitment to professional development within the sport. Mr. Adin Marian Cojocaru, President of the Romanian Volleyball Federation, was also present at the event, demonstrating national leadership`s support.

A notable feature of the seminar was the remote participation of Arturo Di Giacomo, President of the European Refereeing Commission (ERC). He delivered an engaging online session on Saturday morning, during which he highlighted the paramount importance of fluid and effective refereeing in modern Volleyball. Mr. Di Giacomo detailed how judicious officiating contributes significantly to the game’s overall appeal and dynamic rhythm. Furthermore, he emphasized the crucial role of Referee Coaches in facilitating the ongoing skill enhancement and growth of referees.

Throughout the program, participants received comprehensive explanations of the latest rule modifications. These updates are set to be implemented across all Romanian domestic competitions, ensuring complete alignment with the most recent guidelines issued by both the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) and the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
In his closing remarks, Mr. Cojocaru extended his sincere appreciation to the ERC President for his valuable virtual contribution. He also conveyed his best wishes for a prosperous and successful new season to all Romanian referees and supervisors, acknowledging their pivotal role in upholding the sport`s integrity and fairness.
