Discussions are underway regarding a possible refoundation of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), with former CONI president Giovanni Malagò proposed as the new leader. Alongside him, or in a key strategic role, there’s speculation about the return of legendary player Roberto Baggio and his ambitious ‘Renew the Future’ plan.
This comprehensive project, detailed across 900 pages of operational proposals, was notably rejected in 2011 during Giancarlo Abete’s presidency. This previous refusal ultimately led to Baggio’s resignation from his position as president of the technical sector.
