The CEV School Project, globally recognized as `Play Volleyball – Grow with it`, is experiencing remarkable growth, with Romania proudly stepping forward as its newest collaborating partner. This significant addition not only extends the project`s footprint but also aims to ignite a passion for volleyball among a new generation of players across an ever-increasing roster of countries and their respective National Federations.
With Romania`s official integration, the CEV School Project now encompasses an impressive total of 30 National Federations, with projections for even further expansion in the near future. Romania`s participation represents a logical and welcomed progression, stemming from their active involvement in the EU-funded program, `Play Volleyball – Grow with it 2.0 (PVGW2.0)`, where they have played a crucial role as a delivery partner.
Commencing with the 2025/2026 academic year, the Romanian Volleyball Federation is set to fully leverage the project`s comprehensive suite of educational resources to aggressively promote volleyball within educational institutions. The core objectives of this initiative are multifaceted: to empower physical education teachers and coaches with enhanced training and materials, thereby ensuring that young individuals not only develop a love for volleyball during their school lessons but are also encouraged and facilitated to transition into local volleyball clubs within their communities.
The CEV School Project continues to build substantial momentum, demonstrating unwavering strength and commitment. Reinforcing this dedication, recent operational activities resumed with an important online meeting. This virtual gathering brought together School Project Managers from all partner National Federations, convened by the CEV Technical and Development Department, clearly highlighting the project`s vibrant energy and its deeply collaborative ethos.
