The CEV School Project, “Play Volleyball – Grow with it,” is steadily expanding its global footprint. Romania has recently joined, becoming the 30th National Federation to partner with the initiative, which aims to inspire and develop the next generation of volleyball players. Further expansion is anticipated in the near future.

Romania`s involvement is a logical progression, given its participation in the EU-funded Play Volleyball – Grow with it 2.0 (PVGW2.0) Project. Starting with the 2025/2026 academic year, the Romanian Volleyball Federation plans to leverage the project`s educational resources. These materials will promote volleyball in schools, provide training for physical education teachers and coaches, and encourage young participants to not only enjoy the sport during school lessons but also to join local volleyball clubs.

The CEV School Project continues to thrive, demonstrating consistent growth. This week, the CEV Technical and Development Department held an online meeting with School Project Managers from all partner National Federations to coordinate ongoing activities.
