Scotland`s dominance in the women`s competition is evident, with three out of four semi-final spots claimed by the host nation. Lynne Beattie and Mhairi Wallace faced their most challenging match yet against Malta’s Tamara Kenkovski and Mikaela Galea, but they maintained composure to win 2-0 (24-22, 21-14) after a close first set. Kathryn Barbour and Alexis Crusey delivered another strong performance, securing a decisive 2-0 victory against Monica Zammit Munro and Jana Kenkovski, also from Malta. The experienced duo of Alexandra Clegg-McKeown and Melissa Coutts continued to impress, defeating Ireland’s Fiona Lamont and Lara McNichols in straight sets. These victories set up an all-Scottish semi-final between Barbour/Crusey and Clegg-McKeown/Coutts, guaranteeing at least one Scottish team in the women`s final. In the other semi-final, Beattie/Wallace will compete against Tara Mooney and Grace Allen of Northern Ireland, who narrowly defeated Scottish compatriots Samantha Fowler and Charlotte Morgan in a tough three-set encounter.

`Men

In the men`s category, two Scottish duos have advanced to the semi-finals. Euan Fraser and Ben McHardy showcased a calm and effective game, securing a 2-0 win against Andorra’s Luc Macia de las Heras and Sergi Navas, maintaining their undefeated streak. Ben’s brother, Jamie McHardy, and his partner Ross McKelvie also progressed with a convincing 2-0 victory over Iceland’s Emil Mar Diatlovic and Tomas Davidsson. However, other Scottish teams faced setbacks. Ewan Ramsay and Cole Turnbull were defeated by a sharp and energetic Welsh pair, Conor Robins and Matthew Pollock, while Murray Paterson and Keir Paterson were overcome by Monaco’s formidable Ferry brothers, Pascal and Vincent. The men`s semi-final matchups are now confirmed: Fraser/McHardy will face Robins/Pollock in a “Celtic clash,” and McHardy/McKelvie will challenge the strong Ferry brothers from Monaco, promising exciting matches.
