Alvaro Morata has embarked on a new phase of his life. Following his time at Fabregas's Como, he has joined Leganes, a club in Spain's Segunda Division, located near Madrid. "Ultimately, I think it's a fantastic project, a very strong gamble," the forward stated in an extensive interview with As. And I think when you're happy, it shows. I've savored a journey that, a couple of years ago, in a different situation, would have seemed incredibly long. Traveling to the Canary Islands on a commercial flight with other people, well, I had a lot of fun... It reminded me of my youth days, when you're in the youth teams and there's nothing, nothing important about the trip, the picnic; you adapt and find the positive side in everything. Well, silly things with colleagues, like a stranger dropping a suitcase and hitting someone, and other everyday occurrences, but I really like them."

For Morata, "it's not about a change." This is also because "I've realized that I won't change my history." He added: "It's what I used to tell Juanma, my wife, and my parents.
