Leipzig Transfer Falls Through; Fisnik Asllani Remains with Hoffenheim
Contrary to widespread transfer rumors linking him with fellow Bundesliga club RB Leipzig, striker Fisnik Asllani will be staying with TSG Hoffenheim. Hoffenheim's Sporting Director, Andreas Schicker, stated that the cancellation of the transfer is "by no means bad news for us sportingly," highlighting the "remarkable development" of the 23-year-old in a club announcement.
According to Hoffenheim, both clubs had been in contact regarding the potential move of the forward, whose contract includes an exit clause. However, the transfer ultimately collapsed due to medical concerns raised by the Leipzig club.
Schicker: 'We Stand By Asllani'
Asllani had a strong performance last season, contributing 21 scorer points in 35 competitive matches, which significantly aided TSG's qualification for the Europa League. "We stand by our player. Fisnik was instrumental in our success last season, has completed pre-season training at his usual high level, and will resume training with the squad starting next week," Schicker commented. Asllani had recently not traveled to the training camp in Austria due to the ongoing negotiations.
