The Men`s CEV European Golden League 2025 semifinals concluded on Saturday, with Czechia and Finland securing their spots in the final after impressive straight-set victories. Czechia demonstrated remarkable consistency, sweeping Israel 3-0 (25-14, 26-24, 25-23) at the Brno Exhibition Centre. In parallel, Finland delivered an efficient 91-minute performance, defeating Greece 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-20) to advance.
Finland`s Dominant Performance Against Greece
Finland faced Greece, who initially showed intensity but couldn`t sustain their momentum. Finland quickly seized control, winning the first set 25-19. In the second set, a tactical substitution by Greece`s coach Dante Boninfante, replacing Andreopoulos with Raptis, helped narrow a three-point deficit to level at 18-18. However, Finland composed themselves, ultimately securing the set 25-23. Maintaining their composure, Finland sealed the match in the third set, completing a decisive 3-0 victory. Their superior attack and block efficiency proved crucial, particularly during critical late-set moments. Joonas Jokela was instrumental in Finland`s triumph, delivering an outstanding all-around performance with 23 points, 1 ace, and 3 kill blocks, earning him the MVP award.

Czechia`s Strong Victory Over Israel
Czechia began their semifinal match against Israel with exceptional prowess, comfortably winning the first set 25-14. Israel mounted a stronger challenge in the second set, improving their blocking and defense to keep pace. The set featured extended rallies and shifting momentum, with both teams vying for control. Yet, Czechia maintained their composure under pressure, closing out a narrow 26-24 victory to take a commanding 2-0 lead. The third set proved to be the most intense. Despite trailing 17-23, Israel staged a remarkable comeback, narrowing the deficit to 23-24. Nevertheless, Czechia held firm, securing the set 25-23 and thus sealing a straight-set win. Lukáš Vašina was the standout player for Czechia, leading all scorers with 17 points, including 3 kill blocks and 1 ace, which earned him the MVP honor. Despite a valiant effort, Israel was unable to disrupt Czechia`s steady performance.
