From February 14 to 16, 2025, the Armenian Snow Volleyball National Championship took place at the Mayler Mountain Resort in Aparan. Organized by the Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA) with support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the event saw participation from 10 men`s and 7 women`s teams.
This was the first time the championship was held at the Mayler Mountain Resort. The VFA and resort management collaborated to ensure optimal conditions, setting up two courts with modern, high-quality equipment. The competition began with a group stage, leading to the semi-finals and medal matches.
The men`s tournament was highly competitive, with several teams having a strong chance at the title. The young Nor-Nork team showed promise with two pool victories but were eventually eliminated by more experienced opponents. They are expected to contend for top spots in future championships as they gain experience.
In the men`s bronze medal match, FIMA-1 defeated FIMA to secure third place. The final was a thrilling and hard-fought contest, with the team from Gyumri emerging victorious over their rivals from Yerevan to claim the national championship.
The women`s championship also featured intense and engaging matches. Teams Van, Perfect Smile, BSU, and KHMOMM reached the semi-finals, with both matches concluding with a close 2-1 scoreline. Van triumphed in the first semi-final, and BSU won the second, setting up the final showdown.
KHMOMM won the third-place match against Perfect Smile. In the final, Team Van established an early lead against BSU and maintained their advantage throughout the match, securing the national champions title for 2025.
The top three teams in both the men`s and women`s categories were awarded medals and trophies by representatives from the VFA Managing Board and the Operations Director of Mayler Mountain Resort, Mr. Arshavir Hakobyan.
