Türkiye`s women`s team has achieved a remarkable feat, securing consecutive victories in the CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour. After triumphing in Bakuriani, Georgia, just a week prior, they repeated their success on home soil in Erzurum, marking two wins out of two for the season.
In the men`s competitions, Italy claimed the top spot in Bakuriani after a compelling final against Poland. France emerged victorious in Erzurum, also defeating a Polish team in a well-deserved win.
Bakuriani Tournament Highlights
The Bakuriani tournament, which recently hosted the first-ever U20 European Snow Championship, saw strong performances. In the men`s event, host nation Georgia delighted the local crowd by securing third place, overcoming France. Similarly, Georgia`s women`s team also earned a bronze medal, defeating Hungary in their third-place playoff match.
Erzurum Tournament Recap
At the Erzurum leg of the tour, Türkiye completed the men`s podium by defeating Italy in the third-place match. The women`s tournament witnessed a surprise performance from Romania, who, after navigating through three other Turkish teams, reached the final and clinched a commendable second place.
The final Snow European Tour event of the season is scheduled to take place in Prato Nevoso, Italy, from March 29-31.
