On September 18, the Armenian Volleyball Federation (VFA) successfully relaunched its `Play Volleyball – Grow with it` School Project. The initiative resumed after the summer break with a dynamic training session for sixth-grade students at Khachatur Abovyan School No. 4 in Etchmiadzin.

Etchmiadzin, revered as Armenia`s spiritual heart, has a rich tradition of volleyball. The city is currently hosting the U17 Boys` and Girls` Volleyball Championships, featuring 20 teams from various Armenian cities, highlighting the sport`s deep roots and widespread appeal in the region.
The recent CEV U16 Volleyball European Championship, held in Yerevan in August, significantly boosted local enthusiasm for the sport. This surge in interest is evident as coaches across Armenia report an unprecedented number of children and young people joining volleyball teams.

At the Etchmiadzin school, a substantial number of students already participate in volleyball. The VFA anticipates further growth in participation, particularly encouraged by the school`s physical education teacher, Samvel Barseghyan, himself a former volleyball player.
During the training session, students were introduced to the fundamental rules of the game and practiced essential technical skills. To ensure the continuity of these sessions throughout the academic year, the Armenian Volleyball Federation generously provided the school with new volleyballs.
