EuroBeachVolley 2025 – Women`s Tournament Highlights

Making history as the first Ukrainian women`s team to reach the EuroBeachVolley semifinals, Hladun and Lazarenko secured two victories on Friday at the Rochus Club. They staged a comeback against Germany`s Linda Bock and Louisa Lippmann, winning 2-1 (16-21, 21-19, 15-10) in the Round of 16, and then delivered a commanding 2-0 (21-18, 22-20) sweep over the Dutch pair Mila Konink and Raisa Schoon in the quarterfinals.
Álvarez and Moreno, now heading to their third EuroBeachVolley semifinal in four attempts, navigated a challenging Friday in Düsseldorf by winning two demanding three-set matches. The Spanish duo overcame Poland`s Malgorzata Ciezkowska and Urszula Lunio 2-1 (21-16, 15-21, 15-8) in the Round of 16, followed by a tie-break victory (12-21, 22-20, 17-15) against Swiss Olympians Anouk and Zoé Vergé-Dépré in the quarterfinals.
Defending Champions Face French Olympians
Defending champions Müller and Tillmann maintained their unbeaten streak and title defense in front of their home crowd. They secured a relatively straightforward 2-0 victory (21-15, 21-14) against fellow Germans Hanna-Marie Schieder and Karla Borger in the Round of 16. However, their quarterfinal match against Italy`s Valentina Gottardi and Reka Orsi Toth proved more challenging, going to a tie-breaker, which the German pair ultimately won 2-1 (21-15, 16-21, 15-9).

Vieira and Chamereau, the fourth team to advance to the semifinals on Friday, enjoyed a flawless day, securing their spot in the Final Four with two decisive straight-set wins. The Paris Olympians defeated Lithuania`s Daniele Kvedaraite and Jekaterina Kovalskaja 2-0 (21-18, 21-17) in the Round of 16, and then replicated this performance against Latvian Olympians Tina Graudina and Anastasija Samoilova in the quarterfinals, winning 2-0 (23-21, 21-14).
The German and French teams have faced each other three times previously, including a match at last year`s Paris Olympics. In every encounter, Müller and Tillmann emerged victorious without losing a single set.
