Nicolas Milesi Takes Silver in U23 World Championship Time Trial
Nicolas Milesi has earned a silver medal at the World Cycling Championships in Montreal, Canada. The Italian rider for Netcompany INEOS Racing Academy secured second place in the U23 time trial.
This marks the second medal for the Italian team, following Filippo Ganna's silver in the men's time trial. Milesi completed the 31.3 km course in 37 minutes and 33 seconds, narrowly missing gold. He finished just seven seconds behind Dutch rider Ryan Gal, who became the World Champion.
The bronze medal went to Spain's Hector Alvarez, eleven seconds off the leading time. The second Italian competitor, Alessandro Cattani, finished 21st, nearly two minutes behind the winner (1 minute and 59 seconds).
