Gareth Anscombe's Scarlets Debut Delayed by Registration Issues

Scarlets are optimistic that Gareth Anscombe will be able to make his first appearance for the team against the Dragons this Friday. His planned debut against Exeter Chiefs last weekend was unexpectedly cancelled due to a registration technicality.

The 35-year-old fly-half was initially listed to start the friendly match at Sandy Park, but he was removed from the lineup shortly before the game commenced.

The Scarlets have clarified that the former Wales international is not suffering from any injury, and the situation stems solely from a matter concerning his player registration.

The club is working to resolve the administrative requirements quickly. If cleared, Anscombe is slated to participate in the match against the Dragons at Parc y Scarlets on September 11th.

Anscombe was present at Sandy Park, observing Scarlets' 36-15 win over Exeter, and even assisted the team with their pre-match warm-up routine.

According to Scarlets, Anscombe has been fully engaged in pre-season training and is in excellent physical condition and prepared to play. The club has chosen not to assign blame for the registration oversight.
